Description
Celox™ Veterinary Gauze and Granules stop potentially lethal bleeding fast.
Celox™ is extremely effective, safe and easy to use.
Celox granules are easy to use - just pour, pack and apply pressure.

Wag'N Recommendations: If you need to use Celox™ you need to go see a veterinarian. You are your pet's medic and the use of Celox™ will require additional veterinary care. Celox™ should not be left on or inside any wound indefinitely. You need to go see a veterinarian and you will need to bring the Celox™ packet (gauze or granule) with you and show it to the veterinarian. If you used more than 1 packet bring them all with you. The veterinarian will need access to all that information to better render care to your furry companion.

How does it work?
When mixed with blood, Celox™ forms a gel like clot in 30 seconds, independent of the body's normal clotting processes. Made from highly purified chitosan, Celox™ is safe and any chitosan residuals are naturally metabolized. Unlike some other clotting agents it is non-exothermic so will not burn the patient or care giver.
Much better option when dealing with dog ear bleeds, facial trauma to snout,
lacerations and more life threatening trauma such as stab wounds and gunshot wounds.

Has it been tested in the field?
Yes. Initially created for military use. In clinical tests by the US marines, Celox™ was the only product to give 100% survival. It gave robust, reliable clotting with no re-bleeding.

What is the difference between the granules and the gauze?
Celox Granules are suitable for lacerations, grazes and minor cuts on both flat and irregular wounds.
Celox Gauze is suitable for severe high pressure bleeding, hemorrhage, arterial & venous bleeding; bullet, blast, knife & shrapnel wounds; wound packing, applying through strong blood flows, application to all bleeding wounds.
